WWE 205 Live Results

Report by Mike Killam for Wrestlezone.com
Akira Tozawa and Rich Swann kick things off in a backstage segment, with Swann talking about his opportunity against Cruiserweight Champion Neville in tonight’s main event. Titus O’Neil shows up and wants to recruit Swann to be a part of the Titus Brand, with the stipulation that he has to fix his hair so he doesn’t look like The Weeknd. Rich opts out and Titus continues his push on Tozawa, offering him a contract to join the Brand and even sweetens the deal by offering a towel merchandising perk. Akira isn’t interested, and Titus says he’s going to give him some time to think about it.
Jack Gallagher vs. Tony Nese
As the two stars make their way to the ring they roll footage of last week’s show with Nese verbally attacking Austin Aries after A-Double had announced that he’d be taking some time off to figure things out, and Jack Gallagher coming to his aid. As the match gets underway the two go back and forth with a nice exchange, and Gentlemen Jack gets the advantage with his strange brand of offense. He did something similar to the Taguchi New Japan spot pretending to be caught in a pretzel knot, then rolled up Nese revealing he was playing possum. Nese hit him from behind with a blow to the back and the head and slowed things down for a bit, delivering some kicks in the corner while showing off his abs. Gallagher fired back with a brutal looking headbutt which takes both men down. Nese ends up running into the corner post and clutching his shoulder, telling the ref that he’s injured. Jack is forced to back off, but when he goes to check on Nese he’s caught with a running knee to the face for the pinfall. // Winner: Tony Nese
